Kitten Posted November 29, 2013 Share Posted November 29, 2013 We decided to keep quails with a view to eat eggs, eat meat, maybe sell a few eggs and breed our next flock. So we always knew we would have to despatch extra males etc. this weekend is d day and I'm very nervous. Me and my husband will have to do it quickly when my little girls aren't watching!!! Kitten Posted November 30, 2013 Author Share Posted November 30, 2013 It's done!!!! I despatched two cocks this morning and got them ready for the table. It was easier than I thought, I will now leave them in the capable hands of my husband to cook tonight. No one watched I did it in the shed by myself. My six year old daughter understands what I have done and helped clean it afterwards but my three year old doesn't yet.
