MillyJude Posted December 18, 2013 Share Posted December 18, 2013 Something has just occurred to me and i'm wondering if i have been a dimwit, we have had problems with sneezing lately, with no other symptoms. They are eating and drinking fine and the layers are laying. I have acv in the water but its not stopping the sneezing, but i suddenly thought, i have recently changed the bedding from hemcore to straw, Could that be whats causing all the problems? gavclojak Posted December 18, 2013 Share Posted December 18, 2013 I use hemcore in the poop trays and hemcore topped with straw in the nest area, I have a girl tha sleeps in the nest area and so far I have had no problems but maybe that's because that's what I have always used and they are used to it,I do make sure it is dust extracted though. gavclojak Posted December 18, 2013 Share Posted December 18, 2013 I actually prefer auboise, I think it looks cleaner and it has some added ingredient to lock in smells and is also unattractive to flies so that helps in the summer.
