Dahato3
We have 24 hens who are split into 2 adjacent large walk in runs. They are uncovered due to the number of trees etc that we have but both runs have a number of covered areas. About 10 days ago my gold frizzle, Ruby, started to cough and stopped laying. She remained active and continued to eat and drink. I began to add citricidal to the water of all my chickens but my columbine has also stopped laying and has coughed once or twice. I have put both birds together in a separate indoor run away from the others. Both remain active, they are still eating and drinking, no sign of discharge/ wheezing but they are still coughing...... After much research, primarily on this forum, I have ordered some herban tonic which is due to arrive on Tuesday. My questions are.... Should I stop citricidal and treat all of my girls with herban given that they have all been together? And (forgive my ignorance) but is it ok to eat any eggs whilst giving herban? Especially as I give eggs to friends and family.... Thank you in advance.... Jo
