Caroline Posted August 21, 2007 Share Posted August 21, 2007 definitely. Surrogates are used all the time. if you have a hen that's sitting, wait until she comes out to feed and swap the eggs over. She'll be none the wiser. the only interesting bit comes when they've hatched and the ducklings plop themselves into the closest bit of water... apparently the hen will do her nut! hehe (you can do it the other way round too - chicken eggs under ducks.... you just have to be careful when she decides it's time for the 'ducklings' to swim!)
