I understand there is a pecking order (like me and the Mrs) but how long should this take before they settle in? We have only 2 Girls but they are getting very "Ooops, word censored!"y. kannie Posted August 12, 2007 Share Posted August 12, 2007 welcome xsoggyx! It probably won't take too long to sort out the pecking order if they're both new together. I think its harder - and longer - when you come to introduce subsequent newbies to an established flock in an established place. I think our first two did it almost inperceptibly, so I don't know how long it took. When we introduced the 2 newbies to one of the old couple it took about 2 weeks, but the issue was between the old and the new: the two new ones just buddied up together!
