GeorgieB
Hi, Has anyone had any experience/luck with Nizamox (amoxycillin and clavulanic acid or deneguard (tiamulin fumerate)? My friend has a poorly ex bat who isn't eating properly, her poo is small green wet stuff with yellow surrounding. She's tried her on a week of Baytril but with no luck. Her crop is emptying in the mornings and she has no swelling or signs of EYP. She had an implant at the end of October and my friend says she'd have noticed signs if it was wearing off. She's syringing kaytee (baby bird food) into her and also trying her on nutri drops. I've recommended a probiotic too. She is trying her on Amoxycillin but doesn't know if that's going to help. She says she can't send a sample off to Retfords because she's been on Baytril and that will alter her test results. If anyone has used any of the medications mentioned or has any suggestions please let me know. Many thanks, Georgie
Egluntyne
Has a vet prescribed thes antibiotics? If not, strictly speaking, she is breaking the law by administering them. Sounds as if this poor hen should either be seen by a vet or culled, to be honest.
