Saw this in case anyone is interested:

 

Exploring the behaviour and cognition of chickens with Dr Siobhan Abeyesinghe

SUNDAY 31st May 2015

The talk will explore

 

· how the chicken perceives it’s world;

 

· social behaviour of the chicken from what we know about the ancestor to research on today’s birds; and

 

· how dumb, or otherwise that bird brain really is

 

Where: Horsley, Surrey (easy access of the M25, M3 and relatively near a railway station).
