Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

I've just given some leftovers to the three girls, and they've wolfed it down. Now realised it had some avocado left in it, which I know isn't good for them. I'd estimate about a quarter of an avocado between the three of them. Are they going to be okay?

They'll be fine - I reckon we've all done this at some time with leftover salad!

 

I have never heard of anyone's hens being poisoned by eating avocado but it's received wisdom that it is poisonous for birds. I think it might be a risk with smaller birds but I think the size of a hen against a relatively small amount of avocado suggests that there will be no after-effects.
