maizey
Hi folks, Ever since i have had my 2 chooks 2 month's ago my lawn has stopped growing and i have never needed to get the mower out. I would have thought their droppings would have promoted it's health and growth. My neighbours is 4'' high and is a healthy lush green colour and mine has stayed an 1'' high and is pale green. Obviously it springs to mind that my chooks must be eating the grass but i don't think this is the entire answer. Has anyone got this problem.? arowland17
our two are like little lawn mowers and if we let them out all day to free range they eat grass pretty much all day - when we were on holiday and able to let them out all day the grass didn't need cutting but now we only let them out for an hour or so in the evening when we get home so its back to normal growing again. not sure re whether droppings stop it growing, I know it is too strong to put onto flowerbeds but would of thought grass is stronger - maybe it needs to be watered in???
