chickenlover
i love baking with my kids and they love jam tarts but with home made ones the pastry always seems so dry, UNTIL i discoverd these.... Jam Tarts 90g caster sugar 80g butter 2 tablespoons milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence/extract 125g self raising flour 40g custard powder jam Preheat the oven to 180oc grease the baking trays, beat the butter and sugar until light and creamy.Beat the milk and vanilla essence and add to the butter and sugar, add the sifted flour and custard powder and mix to form a soft dough. Roll out the dough and cut, place in tray add jam and bake for about 15-20 mins Truly delightful jam tarts, and the kids just love them
