herecomethegirls
Any idea what this in on my hen? I noticed it a few days ago and it’s still there (on both sides). Does she need a trip to the vets?
Beantree
No trip to the vets needed there @herecomethegirls. That is normal for Cream Legbars and your hen must have some of that gene pool in her.
Beantree
Should add, she may as a result lay blue eggs.
herecomethegirls
She lays pale pink eggs. We were hoping for blue. Will that change? She only started laying a week or so ago. I wonder if it coincided with the white spots 🤔 Is it a sign that she is mature enough to lay too?
Beantree
The egg colour won't change much; may become paler. You might see those blue areas disappear over the year. We had a Marsh Daisy that laid white eggs and had those partially blue lobes in her first year.
