toastedblue
my first post and it's, surprise, a question I know the standard eglu has a door on the end of the run but is it possible to buy a door to put on the side of the run ? I know I could knock something up but SWMBO wouldn't be amused if I bodged it where I plan to put the eglu is pretty tight, there being a fence at either end, so I can either open the door of the run or remove the dirt tray from the eglu. whichever it is the other end has to be up against a fence. I should probably phone Omlet... but... thanks
bronze
I have no idea, they don't sell one. I'm about to bodge a door. I'm getting a second end to the run (so I can cut one up) I will basically make it double height and have a stable door type thing using the two doors. I hope that makes sense. I've decided I'll have to do something as I cant reach the end with a rake as it is and I'm about to extend it again.
bronze
Just an idea but if you have space to extend the run by a couple of feet could you get some weldmesh and basically make what would be a home made extension but only a couple of feet wide then you could put your door in that without taking away any of the value of your cube. toastedblue
thanks for the very quick replies... the gap I have is only 3.6m, which will only leave 0.6m at the back for the tray to be removed, so no room for an extension where are you getting the extra run end from ? thanks
bronze
I wanted an extension and someone who has made there own run is selling me their run which of course has an end on it. Instead then could you use weldmesh to replace one of the side panels so that you can keep the real one intact. Then you could cut it up to your hearts desire without Mrs Boss worrying.
