Neville-Smith
Recently in the locality otters have taken dozens of hens. Does anyone have experience of protection eg omlet cages?
Beantree
It will take some very clear evidence to convince me the culprit is Otters @Neville-Smith. However Mink are very likely and to an inexperienced eye bear some resemblance to Otters. The mesh size and strength of an Omlet cage, with the skirt securely pegged to the ground, should be perfectly adequate against mink.
