CatsCube
Were not talking difference between mash and pellets, but does anyone find a difference in brands. About a week ago I opened a new bag of pellets that my girls dont seem quite as fussed about eating, plus I think their egg production has dropped a little. Dot certainly has and is now having a day off every couple of days instead of every 6 days. Also they used to lay earlier in the day and I would normally find an egg or two first thing when I went out to feed them ,but now they tend to not lay anything till after 10:00 ish, which I doubt is due to the feed, but wondered if anyone else found the differnt feeds did affect egg production. Mel (& Paul)
If they dont like their new food then their egg production might drop - alternatively it might also be down to less eggs in the winter (less eggs) moulting (less eggs), getting older (less eggs) stroppy chooks (less eggs)
