Eyren
With spring rapidly approaching, does anyone have any advice on choosing a small broody pen suitable for bantams? I don't have space for an ark or other permanent quarters, so I was wondering about getting a small dog cage (with my spare Omlet "summer" cover over the top for shelter), as it would be an all-round useful "isolation ward" and pet transporter, as well as being easy to clean and store when not in use. E.g.: http://www.bitsforpets.com/index.php?cPath=5_388_156 I thought the 76cm one would be a good size - it would need to be big enough to hold food and water bowls as well as one or maybe two bantams... Egluntyne
Looks just the job Eyren. Don't forget to stand it on some bricks so that the draught can cool the hen down.
Eyren
Thanks for the tip - I have a few bricks lying around that I use to weigh down netting temporarily
