Wanted - Eglu Cube Mk1 Roosting Bars

Last weekend, I added two 15 week old hens to our one older hen, having recently lost two. Had to integrate them quickly and they seem to be getting on ok. Have found though that the two aren’t going into the house at night. Last night I physically got them and put them into the house, but this meant crawling into the run and getting them off the roosting bar which is half way along the run, crawling out and carrying them round to the door. Very awkward and not sustainable really. I’m thinking their reluctance is a short term thing and that maybe the older hen is being a bit territorial. Do I need to continue putting them in or will they grow bolder in time. It’s fine while the weather is warm but also for safety I’d much prefer them to be inside. Any ideas?

Whenever I’ve had new hens they’ve not always figured it out at first. But eventually after putting them in every night they get into a routine to head in. A coop light may help as it gets darker they will be go into the light.

Trouble is I just can’t crawl around in the run every night. I’m hoping they’ll grow bolder and work it out.

Could try a coop light? So as it gets darker the light comes on and they should head closer and inside to the light,
