Beantree Posted June 29 Share Posted June 29 Hose the run down in the afternoon. The moisture will evaporate and cool the ground and the air. An overheating chicken can be treated by standing it in a bowl of cool water, not freezing cold, so about 15C. The blood flowing through the feet will chill the rest of her system. Takes a couple of minutes, then consider bringing her into a cool environment. Ours come into cages in the house and are kept in overnight, or until the coop temperature has dropped to below 30C.
