Trixabell
My neighbours wouldn't dare complain.....they know they'd be out of the loop for fresh eggs then!!
HENthusiastic
Throw eggs at them!
superjules
Now that's just wasteful! If you're going to throw anything, make it chicken poo.
HENthusiastic
FANTASTIC......... thats a MUCH better idea. Throw poo at them. And I've just been writing / reading a thread about what to do with all the poo. Its obvious, we throw it!!
Melanie Jane
Many Thanks for all your replies.. my friend has spoken to the council and the chap was very helpful actually. I helped her move her hens on Saturday to try to help alleviate the problem and they are now being shut in at night... the neighbour has been given a noise diary but hopefully this wont go any further after she has taken these steps. Paranoid about mine now.. keeping mine locked up until 7.30am just in case a cat visits my garden in the early hours and sets them off! Liam
Just to add, I contacted my council before I got chickens... when they had decided which department would actually deal with the enquiry, I was basically told that they don't care, but if I have more than 50 chickens then I need to inform DEFRA! When I told her I was only having three she just laughed at me for asking!
