How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Just went out to the nest box just to check if anyone had laid as i always do, Martha has stopped laying and Rose currently can't and Gwyn has been my only layer....i didn't expect to find anything what with Gwyn being ill but lo and behold there was a tny little white shelled egg....but the problem is i don't know where it came from!!! If its from Gwyn I've been told not to eat it because of the antibiotics, but if its one from Martha (which is the likeliest of the other two) its a real waste!! I'm grumpy now because I have to throw it away and I hate to waste it

Can you scramble it and feed it back to the chickens.

I don't know? Can i? if its got traces of Gwyns antibiotic in it will it harm them?????

I doubt it'd do any harm. The traces of antibiotic are going to be minimal and a little bit can't hurt. Its not like they get antibiotic all the time and could develop an immunity to it.

 

You could just feed it back to Gwyn. The extra protein might help build her up a bit

What a quandry! See my post about using eggs for hair conditioning. I've yet to get my girls so have no idea what a "softie" is like, but if you can't eat an egg for any reason, you might be able to use it to enrich your hair.

another fab idea, well I gave the egg back to the girls this morning, I wish they'd stamp their name on them when laying!!
