Phosphorus
I am trying to rationalise how I can get a Skyline next week - the breeder we have booked to get most of our chooks from won't have any. Would it work to get a Skyline on its own and put it in the run a couple (and I mean only a couple) of hours before the others arrive. I know it will be a bit confused but it seemed a better way round of doing it than getting 5 hens and then putting a 6th one in an hour or two later. Or would it not make any difference on the first day I know some will say just get two Skylines from the first breeder and then the other 5 - DH will kill me have already tried that one. Olly
I don't see that a couple of hours on her own will do any harm. It should be easy on the first day if they are all new together. Go on, you know you want one!
Egluntyne
You may as well grit your and do it the way you suggest....Skyline first and then the others a few hours later. Even though she will be outnumbered, she will have the home advantage for a while. Good luck.
