Which do you find is best?

Recommended Posts

We have both.

We use Diatom in the dust bath (which they also eat!) and the Red Mite powder gets lightly sprinkled in the eglu base/edges.

We take the view that the diatom is more prophylactic (and can be consumed) and the Red Mite Powder would be used as a dusting powder if they got red mite/other, but others may think differently.

They aren't the same Druid.

DE is the fossilised skeletons of microscopic organisms.

In addition to using it to prevent external parasites you can also add it to the hens feed to help prevent worms.

Red mite powder is a cornstarch based product containing Tea Tree and Lavender oils to be used as an external preventative only for mites and lice.

Smells divine!.
