Our tub of mixed grit seems really course... is that normal, I expected it to be much finer?

It should be made up of pieces of mixed sizes, with oyster and other shells in it.

 

The picture in the Omlet shop looks about right.

The one that I buy is quite course, some pieces being larger than others, if it is poultry grit it should be fine................

Thanks guys... I think I'm getting a bit precious with my chooks. If they can eat corn and dig up their pen, then i guess they are used to a bit of course grit.

 

I'm going now to try and get a grip!! Oh but i do feel sorry for them in all this rain, but they won't go inside!!!

just give it to them and you will soon find out if they like it or not

even if it is courser than normal they should be fine
