Sorry if this has been covered, but I would love to know the best way I can grow this and how. In a container or what? I'm new to this and know nuffin!

I think if you find a firm healthy root often most likely in oriental shops you can just plant it in a good compost and it will grow. I once found a root with spikes coming out of it that looked like new growth and tried to grow it, but it just rotted, but you may have a warmer climate and have more success
