They mate in late January (which is when you hear unearthly screaming and howling), the cubs are usually born around the beginning of March, and will be seen outside in April and May. This is the time of year when the cubs are starting to eat solid food, and the vixen will be having to find food for both herself and them.

 

I don't think there is ever an 'off' season for foxes however, at least not as far as chickens are concerned. :shock:

I thought it would be around now that the young copuld be about!!!!!

 

we found a cryfish in our garden theotherday and took it to a wildlife sannctuary as we didnt know what to do with it (and I wont kill and animal of any type!) (well unless the a spider is huge then I do one oof 2 things lol mainly run to the hill screaming like a baby :lol: )

 

anyway they had rescued 2 fox cubs!!! awwww they were so cute!!!! :oops:
