yannovitch
hello everyone just a question... i have three raised beds, two of them are getting full, and the third one is still waiting for garlic and onions to bulb up... yes, but in that third one, i now need to transplant some seedlings of leeks and a couple of brassicas. will the onions nd garlic cope if i intercrop for a while? i read somewhere that onions don't like to share with anything... Any suggestion or advice is well appreciated! Thanks, Yann
chickencam
The brassicas will get pretty big and the leeks will need to be in undisturbed for a long time so I don't think it would be a good idea. You don't need to put leeks into their final positions until they are the size of a thin pencil, so i would thin them out a little if they are very thickly sown then leave them to grow on.
