4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Our first egg was very small (last thursday) and had been pecked at, also it was laid in the run!

Next one on saturday was laid in the nest box day (small too), Sunday a large egg had been laid in the nestbox equivalent to large supermarket sized egg. Then both yesterday (monday) and today small eggs had been laid! Having 8 hens, will 2 be laying or just 1?

 

Thats me thinking when the large egg was laid, it was another hen starting to lay or does the size differ when they start laying??

They all lay different sized eggs.

 

Also some of their first offerings are smallish and they get bigger as the hen gets the hang of it.

 

It sounds as if you have 2 laying.
