lisaroo2
...have just popped out to see if the girls are safely tucked up and witnessed the cutest scene... ... all three girls are sitting in the eglu on the bars, snug as little bugs in rugs! Daisy is in between Maisie and Rosie and looks angelic (the fact that she was hurtling around the garden like a loonatic only 15 minutes before has nothing to do with it!) When I opened the egg port I got the most loveliest chook noises in greeting and they all let me have a little stroke. Had to really stop myself from lifting them out and giving them a big hug! And it doesn't cease to amaze me that this time last week I was asking for your help as Daisy was being picked on by Rosie, yet there they are now... Didn't dare take a piccy incase it frightened them, but I think you get where I'm coming from...

lisaroo2
Thanks troy and Egg Lou. We've had fun since the girls have arrived! I can't tell you how much pleasure they bring - well, you must know as you have your own! They've certainly kept us on our toes... The harmony I'm not so sure about just yet, don't want to rest on me laurels an all that! Not where Rocket Ronnie's concerned. She seems bent on creating mischief, still love her to bits though! Thanks for all your support out there - big hug!
Egg Lou
She sound so much fun! Don't have mine yet so love reading about others.. really nice to hear they settled down so quickly as worried about the pecking order issues myself so quite reassuring! Sounds like I need to plan some time off when mine arrive as looks like everyone spends early days being glued to their antics! Keep us updated! lisaroo2
You can forget doing anything when the girls arrive Egg Lou. Just get anything done that you need to do now and then be prepared to sit and watch... I daren't look around the house, I'm sure its a bomb site, oh well, what is life if full of care, we have no time to chook watch without a care! Daisy is mad though! Abbey Road Girl
Aw, just like kids. When they go to beddy byes they look like sweet little angels whatever they've been up to during the day! Daisy is probably dreaming up new tricks for tomorrow!
Egg Lou
Thought as much.. so work, horses Daughter and OH will have to wait their turn then! What have we started!!
lisaroo2
Oh yes! Pull up a chair and be prepared to be 'hentertained'! I kept rushing out every five minutes 'just to check they were ok' Still do now, especially if I hear cluck, bok, bok! They have a little 'chat' to me when I'm in the garden and let me know they're there... The best bit is definetly opening the egg port at night and seeing sleepy contented girls... (And sneaking a little stroke!)
