jojo2305
And we are all delighted. The girls have now been here nearly two weeks and while I'm sure something *must* go wrong they have, so far, given us a rather easy and enjoyable introduction to chicken husbandry! They travelled home well and once unloaded immediately came to investigate their new family. We weren't expecting them to lay for a few weeks yet, but when we went to check them the next morning there were two eggs waiting for us We have a few adjustments to make to our hen home, and my Father, who was sort of against, but completely overruled, chickens has been won round, and has even been heard to suggest new toys and activities for them! Gladys is the vocal one, Betty the largest and Hilda the slimmest, but prettiest coloured chook. Gladys and Betty are very keen on humans; they run up for food and a fuss everytime the door opens. Hilda is a little more wary but still comes over to eat out of your hand. Just wanted to share our first couple of weeks with the girls! I don't have any photos as their home isn't completely finished yet! But any 'house names' suggestions would be welcome! The rabbit lives in Bunningham Palace, we need something along those lines for the Bok Bok girls! Thanks for reading
