Best liner/ bedding for drop tray

Does anyone know what the differences and advantages and disadvantages of the various types of glass used for double glazing?

 

We are thinking about having some or all of our windows done, but we are confused about the glass types offered.

 

Also has anyone had their wooden windows replaced with the wide gap modern upvc and found that their house was significantly darker, because we have read somewhere that they can cut light by upto 30%
