Tessa the Duchess Posted May 20, 2008 Share Posted May 20, 2008 A broody hen just sits on the nesting box all fluffed up. She feels hot and is bad tempered and pecky if you try and remove her. I know next to nothing about hatching eggs under a broody, but I do know that you have to think long and hard about what you will do if some of the hatched chicks turn out to be male.
