Am I totally mad?

Recommended Posts

Okay - we have had our 7 girls for 4 weeks now this weekend :D:D Love them to bits  They are in a run that is approx 2.7m by 4m so I think that is 10ft by 13ft.

Breeder has Cream Legbar chicks - 3 weeks old at the moment :D Seriously contemplating paying her for 2 of them up until 8 weeks or so (i.e initial price and so much per week until 8 weeks).

Am I mad? I know I would have to house two little girls separately until about 18 /20 weeks in their own house and run together with the growers pellets etc. So I would need additional housing (but then wouldn't that be useful if I need to segregate a girl for some reason in future  )

Can 8 week old chicks go outside at that point ?- i.e what is the earliest they don't need to be inside in the warmth of our house - DH would not like that - in fact DH will kill me when he even sees I am thinking of this

So come on folks am I completely off my rocker, I have 7 happy girls already just would love some blue eggs..... Thoughts please
