Hi there,

I've had my girls since Sept and both have done really well but one hasn't laid now for about 6 weeks. She seems fine in herself and they both get on really well together. Does anyone have any ideas why she's stopped laying?

I would maybe do a mini health check - check for any lice or mites on the hen (that stopped our Ella laying).

 

Have you wormed them recently - if not - a worming course will help.

 

Also ensure that they are eating their pellets, if you overdo treats the hens will gorge on treats and not get their nutrients from pellets.

 

Whatever it is, im sure she's fine and maybe just having a little break. sometimes hens do funny things we cant explain!!

Thanks for your advice. I'll try the worming etc and then keep my fingers crossed. Maybe there's no reason - just one of those things!
