Tigerlily
...It ended up like the Great escape but in reverse Tried the light in eglu trick - didn't work... Mabel went straight in the pink palace and settled nicely(clever girl!) - Rosie and Betty were having none of it Rosie is going to be be very soft and docile - she follows my voice already and likes to be picked up. Betty is more nervous and won't come to me yet... I managed to get Rosie in through the eggport, but couldn't get Betty! This unsettled Mabel who then come back out with Rosie in tow... After much pleading with them (to no avail) they began to go sleepy outside the eglu where I couldn't reach... So it had to be drastic action! I crawled through the door into the tunnel, through the chicken s**t (I wasn't laughing then, believe me!) and placed the girls into the eglu, Mr TL did the honours of closing the door, when he finally managed to stop laughing at me and pick himself up off the floor! So after a long shower I think I'm off to have a well deserved glass of red wine Even after all this, I still love my chooks and the funny noises they make! Night night Please tell me they will go to bed tomorrow BW x
Stevie
You need to buy a bag of mixed corn-its like a drug to chooks and they'll do anything for it.If i ever need to get mine inside the Eglus run in a hurry-i rattle a tin full of it and they come sprinting up the garden.Throw a small handful inside the run and in they go after it! I hope you enjoy your wine and dont smell of poop!

Stevie
I keep it in an old Slimfast tin because it makes a pleasing rattle when shaken and the chooks know excally what it means.
