My eco solution to rat problems

Hi All,

With the new home arriving this week is there still the 5 day quarantine period I should shut them in for?

 

Also in 3 weeks I will be introducing another 3 to the exisiting 2 from Omlet which are now abot 1 year old. Again would this be another 5 day lock in (no alcholic drinks provided) and can you give any advice for the upcomming WWF which will surley happen.

I can recommend the bumper bits, they have worked wonders overnight here.

I don't think you will need to lock your old girls in the cube when it comes. I'm not lanning to do so with mine- just to place the girls in the cube so that they have to find their own way out of it

I didn't lock my new girls in when they arrived last week, I thought the more space they had to get away from Buzz & Poppy the better.

You won't need to shut them in for that long if you already have a few chickens. This is because the newer ones will probably follow the older ones. Molly and Spice did this when they moved into the eglu with the bluebelles.
