Does this vary? Some people seem to post that their hen started to lay and then has laid pretty much every day since Alice my White Star laid a lovely 53g egg about a week ago and there has been nothing since Is this quite common?

 

I wasn't too worried as when Roast started laying we had a gap of 4 days before the 2nd egg - but this seems to be going on and on

 

Edited to say that otherwise she is fine and no visits to the nest box so I don't think she is egg bound - just isn't feeling the inclination?

She has just laid a softie - in the nesting box as well So laying tackle is getting sorted!

My Miss Pepperpot, Treacle laid her first egg then we had another the day after tommorow. Same again then two eggs in two days THEN...another the day after tomorrow Her egg production goes up and down like a yo-yo!

Sorry to ask a question on this thread but when they do this crouching is it normal that they do a little tap dance as well? Butch has been doing this for about a week now. Is this normal???
