jjjj
I have 3 tubs of fat snax wild bird food that our wild birds are not over interested in. My question - can I offer them as a treat / entertainment (?) to our 2 chooks. It seems such a shame that the fat snax are not used. (I am thinking of giving the chooks the ones that are still in the tub in the shed - not the ones hanging on the bird feeders!!)
Stevie
If its them solid balls of nuts & seeds moulded then i wouldnt as they contain animal fat. If its loose seed then yes and they'll love it!
cluckbok
I agree too, if it's loose bird seed that should be fine. But if it's the other sort like fat seed balls, then I wouldn't, they are too bad for them. The ones with honey are better, but I think fruit/veg/porridge/corn is better for treats. jjjj
Thanks a million - yes they are they solid fat and seed sort, but I do have loose wild bird seed so the chooks can have that.
