I've just been reading on the breadmaker thread about people using/ not using their slow cookers.

 

I got one a few months ago and it only came with meat recipies which I don't use as I'm a sort of veggie( eat fsh). I tried a couple of things, but ended up having to cook them again anyway.

 

Anyone got any hints/ tips/ recipes. I'd like to try again, but can't be faffed if it's not going to work.

I really like mine, little chickadee: its really handy for putting on a pot roast in the morning when I have the energy, and then coming home later to find a wonderful smell and dinner ready! Having said that, I think I've only done meaty things in it.

 

Its great for stock, and I can't see why it wouldnt be good for veg or fish stock as well as meat. I'll have a look in the recipe book that came with mine, and see if its got some good sounding non-meat things too.
