4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

I know this isn't a new topic but.......

 

The girls are now 24 weeks old and have been laying perfect eggs for the last 4 weeks. However yesterday and today one of them (don't know which one) has laid two softies in a row. I don't understand why this should be when all the others are fine so they are obviously getting enough grit etc.

 

Is this something to worry about!!!

I would guess it's normal as they haven't been laying long. I hadn't had a soft shell until pepper started laying - she was the last to start and laid three soft shells in the first two weeks, she still lays the odd one now, though the others never have

My chickens are about 28 weeks and one of them still lays a softie every now and then.

 

However, she looks fit and well so I don't worry. I put limestone flour in their feed and when she does lay a normal egg the shell is perfect.

 

All chickens are different.

mine are new to laying as well and lay a loftie every now and then, we've had three so far.. not in a row though.
