Just out of interest, does anyone know why you can order 4 chickens with your eglu in the US, but only 3 in the UK?

I ordered 4 chooks with my eglu in April 07...... When I phoned Omlet they did (quite rightly) ask me if they would have plenty of free ranging time or be confined to the run. They also advised a converter would be a good idea.

 

I went ahead without the converter as mine free range half the day. But just a few weeks after having them I realised that actually I did need one and ordered a converter to give them extra run space for the 4 hours I was at work.

I had 4 hens delivered with my original Eglu....but I did get a converter too.

Pants! We've got a converter *and* plenty of free-ranging time! We could have had four to start with! Never mind...we'll just have to wait a few years now.

Now that is odd they sell us 4 hens but there are no converters or extensions available here in the US.
