Intelligence test of the day...

Recommended Posts

After collecting the eggs this morning, I decided to leave the egg port door off, and see who'd be first out 8)

It only took Lily a few minutes to discover this.

Then she stuck her head out and had a good look.

And cooed to the others.

And Lottie went into the eglu too, and saw the world through the egg port.

And then, after a bit more joint cooing, they went back into the run with Maisy.

And now, an hour and a half later, they're still all sitting down, at the end of the run, waiting to be let out.:?

Ah, well everyone knows that if you go out a different door, it is a different world! I have concluded this from my cats' behaviour: If it is raining at the front door, they go to check to see if it is also raining in the world that exists out of the back door; similarly, if I open a window they have to go out through it even if they have just come in the door, as it is clearly a different place!

gotta love chickens. my friend who studies biology says that the ratio size of a birds head to its body indicates its intelligence level. the smaller the head in comparison to the body the less intelligent the bird.

ie ravens have large heads, small bodies, very intelligent. tells you somethign abotu chooks though doesnt it?
