How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Another question from me

 

How long should a 25kg bag of pellets last me with 3 chooks? Bearing in mind they free range for quite a bit of the day and then get s"Ooops, word censored!"s and treats before bed. I don't have a gravity feeder, just the bowl I use. I'm just not sure if I'm feeding them the correct amount (though they all seem healthy and are laying well)

I'm on my 3rd bag (I think!) - I've had my 3 girls since September 07. I wouldn't worry too much - they'll eat as much as they need. You'll know if you're not giving them enough if the feeder is completely empty at the end of every day!

thanks for that I just kept looking at the bag and thinking it hardly looked touched after 2 weeks. But they must be doing okay as since they got here they have changed from laying softies and 1/2 every few days, to lovely hard shells and 2/3 per day. I have also wormed them this week though and given them grit. Tomorrow its red mite powder

Mine didn't eat very much (it seemed) until they started laying regularly. Now they eat lots.

 

They get themeselves up at 5/5.30 in the morning, and I let them out of the Run at about 9 so they can free range for most of the day. I don't let them out earlier as I want them to fill up on pellets rather than grass.
