I know that this will seem like a strange question but does anyone know why the beautiful throne that has been carved from a tree has been removed (completely chopped down) at Stowe Landscape Gardens in Buckinghamshire?

 

We loved it and always took a photo of the kids on it - we've got a wonderful photographic record of them growing up but I'm very sad that it won't be added to!

We did wonder if it was elfnsafety, a real shame though!

 

We were only there in Feb and it seemed safe with no rot etc!
