My eco solution to rat problems

Matt Willis has not been quite right for a couple of days.

 

Tail down sometimes, a bit sleepy, she hasn't laid for 4 days.

 

She's eating and drinking but she does have dark green poo.

 

They all had their flubenvet dose six weeks ago and they have vermx monthly.

 

Could the green poo be anything else but worms?

Overeating vegetable matter?

 

Infection of some sort?

 

I'd be inclined to worm them again to be on the safe side.

If you can get hold of either Avipro or Bokashi Bran, they will help calm down a dodgy tum, as will a dollop of probiotic yoghurt, either mixed with her pellets, or given "neat".

I've got some Bokashi on the way with new plastic bars - Hurrah! ( the wooden ones constantly falling apart)

 

I'm just hoping that this is something relatively simple and not the start of peritonitis, we've had her 16 months now and she's an ex-batt.

 

She loves yogurt so that will be no problem!

We're on day No 5 of Flubenvet but she still looks the same, wondered if it could be a softie but she hasn't laid for nearly two weeks now.

 

Her poo is looking better though!

 

Not sure what to do next - any ideas?

 

 

Got bokashi delivered - it says its for composters - have I ordered the right stuff? If so how much to give?

Yes you have the right stuff.

 

Sprinkle it onto her food and she will take what she wants. They do like the taste of bokashi.

 

I get mine from wiggly wigglers and its already in the mash so mine are having it constantly.
