Preperations for cube

Recommended Posts

My hubby and I have just drawn up our plans for the chicken run. We going to start the foundations for the run this weekend, weather permitting.

Anyway we have been looking at mesh today and Hills of Devon seem to be very good on prices. We are going for the 1.6mm mesh and 1" x 1". Is that size hole OK or should we use 1" x 1/2". The larger one is cheaper but if there is a problem with that then we would obviously go for the more expensive 1" x 1/2" mesh.

Many thanks for your help once again.

Nicola

1" x 1" is fine. Both sizes are fox proof, your final decision will be governed by what could get through the mesh into the run. Not much could get through 1" x 1", except perhaps a mouse and that wouldn't last long in a chicken run :? Unlikely wild birds would get through either. :D
