Egluntyne Posted July 8, 2008 Share Posted July 8, 2008 You can easily fit 4 hens into the Eglu itself....it is the run that would not be big enough for 4. When I had 4 hens in each of my Eglus, I added a converter and an extension to the run, to give them sufficient elbow rooom and the option to break into a short trot if needed. If they are too confined, you may have pecking issues, although of course, any room you provide will be more than they have been used to previously. However, I did have 3 Ex-batts in a Mark 1 with a standard run for a month before they were incorporated into the larger flock, and they were fine, but it was always gong to be a temporary arrangement.
