If i position the cube so that the left hand side is against a fence (well the skirt is) would I be able to get to the eggport?

sorry and would it be ok to be half on slabs, half grass?

You would find opening the eggport awkward but not impossible if you positioned the cube skirt right up against the fence. But you would get very tired of the awkward way you would have to lean in every day, and it would be hard cleaning out the nest. You also need room to walk down the side comfortably if you are attaching a run cover.

 

And if it is a party fence owned by your neighbour, it is definitely too close, as you have to allow enough space for your neighbour to repair or paint the fence on your side. If it's your own fence, you can go closer.

 

I don't understand the question about slabs and grass. Which half of what would be on the slabs?
