i have 3 hens 14weeks old who are living separate from two 10 week old silkies

 

shall i put them together,ive had the silkies for 5weeks,they still sleep apart,

Don't know - what are their relative sizes like? Are the 10 week olds ok to be outside yet?

 

I think if you do try, then you will need to take it slowly, and be on hand to avoid horrid incidents. I'm sure someone will be along to give you better advice though! Lucky you having such babies!

the 14 week old hens are twice the size,of the silkies,do you think thet will ever get on...............

yes the little ones have been out for a couple of weeks..............

I have 3 12 week old silkies in with a 12 wk Sussex, 2 20wk old birds and 2 18 mth old girls. they all get on fine - but it took a good 5 or 6 weeks. try the FAQ, there is a really good section on introducing new girls, and the best advice is to take it slowly. my silkies are half the size of the younger girls, and about a third of the size of the older ones, but they have learnt when to move out of Top Chook's way! take it easy, and good luck.
