Wyandotte Partridge Bantams

Recommended Posts

Thanks to those of you who replied and a big thanks to James. Yes, she has got 2 Wyandottes and she is prepared to sell them. She said that when I contacted her a while ago she didn't want to sell them as they were broody. Hopefully picking them up today or tomorrow.

Hoorah!!! :D:D:D

The 2 new Wyandottes have now been with us for a week. They are very nervous of human contact, but seem to be getting more used to us now. We had conflicting advice as to whether to introduce them slowly to our exsisting ladies, or put them all together immediately and let them get on with it. We chose the latter option, which I don't know if it was the right option or not. We have had a few `chicken issues' with a bit of pecking from the Wyandottes, but I think we have turned the corner in the last 24 hours and they seem to be getting on better. Fingers crossed for a happy hen house.

No, not sure why, but doesn't seem to much `chicken stuff' going on in Bristol and I haven't yet met anyone who has an eglu around here. We are new chicken to keeping, but have quite a few friend who are experienced at it, so if you need any info etc, do get in touch, although you may be an eggspert your self!!
