cliveb
Went down to the girls this morning as usual and Lorraine was not interested in her normal morning mealworm treat. She is dead lethargic and is spending most of her time in the nesting part of her egloo. she has layed a good sized egg this morning but doesnt seem to be interested in anything much. She has just gone back in to the egloo instead of her normal free ranging and scratching around for bugs etc. Does anyone have any ideas please as this is quite out of character. Thankyou in advance

Guest
is she eating and drinking? are you sure it was definitely her egg? (Just in case she's in the process of laying a softie) what's her poo like? have you checked her over for lice/mites? when were they last wormed? She has never been wormed. as far as I can see she has no lice or mites and her poo seems normal
Guest
do you know when they were last wormed? she might have worms. We worm ours about 3-4 times a year with flubenvet. If you worm her, you'll need to do both chickens at the same time. How is she now?
