jackiepoppies Posted July 29, 2008 Share Posted July 29, 2008 Hi everyone, I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but I have found a solution Maggie [top hen] decided that drinking via the Glugs nipples was just like too much hard work and 'top hen' should have top spot First thing every morning after a big poo and a quick scratch around to check everything was in order, she would flap her way to the top of the Glug from where she could monitor 'her' flock and 'chookdom' Naturally all this hard work required a drink or two...no matter that it made the water filthy THEN Big Mother knew just what to do . She waddled of to the local DIY store and bought two of those round metal thingys with spikes on. [You know, what you put in your gutters downpipes to stop leaves blocking them up.] She spread out the spikes and put them in the tops of the Glug and hey presto, Glugs with hats on and it works P.S.
